SHRINKAGE BEHAVIOR OF AN ECO-FRIENDLY ENGINEERED CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITE

The purpose of the present research is to assess impact foundry sand (FS) and cement kiln dust (CKD) on autogenous shrinkage, drying total shrinkage engineered cementitious composites (ECCs) over 100 d. Additionally, pore sizes their distribution in developed ECC system were assessed through BJH adsorption technique. findings showed that structure was refined continuously time. This indicates CKD-modified mixes demonstrated decreased at early later ages 100-d period, although during stages, comparable CKD/FS conventional ECCs. Specimens with 30 % FS 15 CKD inclusions significantly fewer medium capillary holes more gel pores. As pores a are smaller than traditional ECC, modified specimens denser show lower loss water.
